Weather woes

Fantastic fall

Despite all the rain in late spring and early summer, the gardens are parched now.

Breaking down

I broke down and watered the vegetable garden today.

Warm and dry

I'm probably going to ramble a bit today. The long run – for this year – of dry weather has made me giddy.

At least now it's summer

Tuesday has been declared the first decent summer day of the year.

Wasn't summer nice?

It was one day, but it was nice. Sunday July 5.

Raining inside

We just had a major water infestation in my section of the office. They have moved my computer but working all around me and I can't concentrate, so I will do something mindless like blogging.

It's no longer funny

So I am not going to complain. The strawberries might be rotting on the vine, but we have eaten a lot of them and have two batches of jam put up.

Enough already

I have not seen the sun in five days. It rained a bit more than 4 inches from Thursday afternoon to Saturday morning. It has to stop.

Sweet season

Granddaughter Alana did not eat all of the strawberries shown in this photo, but she certainly did her part.

Needed, but enough

I was really glad when we started getting the rain earlier this week.
