Becker to manage Jacobson's campaignBill Becker, founder of the Maine Heritage Policy Center and finance director for Peter Cianchette in 2002, has signed on as campaign manager with Republican gubernatorial hopeful Matt Jacobson. Jacobson put out a statement saying now that the referendum election is over, it's time to focus on the governor's race. "Bill is a tireless and creative veteran in Maine's political and policy arenas and is a tremendous asset to our team," he said. Jacobson is one of 21 people total -- which includes six Republicans -- to declare their intention to win the Blaine House in 2010. And I'm told at least two other people will get in to the race.
