Picnic returns to craft another dayRemember Picnic? No, this is not another snarky weather diatribe about outdoor activities. Picnic, as in the indie craft/arts/music festival that started up last September. You may recall last year's affair featured locally-made goodies from places like Ferdinand, 43rd Parallel Press, Swallowfield, Small Victory Studios and others, as well as a music line-up containing the likes of Dead End Armory, Cougars Kill Cobras, Honey Clouds and Confusatron. (I picked up this sweet T-shirt from Moth Designs last year.) Picnic Vol. 2 returns Sept. 12 at Portland's Lincoln Park with even more music and more crafty delights. But first they're still looking for artists, photographers, jewelry makers, clothes makers and pretty much anyone else who want to get their work in front of people. The deadline for vendors looking for a table at this year's Picnic is Aug 1. If you're interested go ahead and apply online for a spot. Want to get a feel for last year's Picnic?
