Schmidt returns for USMEASTERN CONNECTICUT — Gorham's Mark Schmidt (0-0) will make his first appearance of the postseason tonight for Southern Maine since an elbow strain took him from the lineup earlier this season. Schmidt last pitched on March 25. He is 0-0 in three starts. USM (35-7) is expected to get underway at 9:05 p.m. tonight against Husson University (31-12) for the team's first game of the NCAA Division III New England Regional. The game, had been scheduled for 7:45 p.m., but has been pushed back after three long games earlier today. Westbrook's Anthony D'Alfonso (oblique) is also back in the lineup in the No. 4 spot after missing one start over the weekend. Earlier results:
