Pedroia, Tek out; Lars better

Dustin Pedroia (fatherhood) and Jason Varitek (sore neck) are out of the Red Sox lineup tonight.

Here in Portland, Lars Anderson and his tender hamstring are back in the lineup for a second straight game, as DH.
